Family business

In the very heart of Ukraine, on the boundless space of Ukrainian steppes the old uyezd town-fortress Kirovograd is situated where the Sukhoys family started the production of the favourite "Zolotoj vek TM" halva.

halva

Kirovograd halva was famous due to its high quality and great taste in the post-war period in 1950s when it was skillfully cooked in hand. During the years of soviet power the able workmen and their skills were lost little by little and our traditional favourite Ukrainian dainty of kids and adults turned into staple foods manufactured at soviet plants. It resulted into the loss of splendid compounding and, of course, the quality of halva.

When perestrojka came in 1990s Ukraine gained the independence and the country gradually changed its nature. We wanted to revive the lost, to march in step with time and to please the new, more fastidious consumer.

That was how "Zolotoj vek", the trademark imposed by time, appeared.

halva

At the beginning, the half-wrecked old building was bought in Chernyakhovka village (the suburbs of Kirovograd) and the old equipment was thoroughly selected and restored. There a small workshop started producing halva and only 5 people worked at it.

The Sukhoys family, Aleksandr and Larisa, who both graduated from the Odessa food industry institute, are excellent professionals with great experience and long record of work. They stated reviving of production of high-quality halva.

"From the very beginning the following objective was set up: to produce popular product, halva, of the highest possible quality, delicious, structurally coherent and with the longest possible shelf life time. The urge towards attaining this objective encouraged us to choose the new technological techniques and to use compounding in a new way, because the quality of ingredients for halva's production changed with time.

To achieve this it took us some years of painstaking work in choosing the compounding for producing halva and suppliers of the high-quality raw stock. And at last concerning all demands for food products, using known and inventing new technology in halva's production the difficult objective was attained. We have manufactured the product that gained the awards of several food product exhibitions together with the appreciation and popularity of halva's admirers."

halva

In present the product manufactured by the "Try star Ltd." under the "Zolotoj vek" trademark includes the 10 sorts of halva and 5 sorts of cozinaki. They are sold all over Ukraine and in Russia, Israel, USA, Canada and Europe. Strict demands to technological process, to the raw stock used in production of halva and cozinaki, reasonable price policy, excellent packing, mobile network of retail trade made it possible to manufacture and sell the product that became the favourite dainty of people.

The family business in which the owners are the father, mother, their son and daughter allows to arrange and establish the work of the whole friendly staff of professionals in achieving the high results manufacturing the products under "Zolotoj vek" trademark.
